Monitoring of water in the natural environment
The Oise Aisne Agreement is an open mixed syndicate, Etablissement Public Territorial de Bassin in accordance with the provisions of article L213-12 of the Environment Code.
It is responsible for the entire catchment area of the Oise and Aisne rivers and their tributaries, i.e. 17,000 km². It has expertise in the areas of natural risks (flooding due to river overflows, runoff and mudflows) and the quality of aquatic environments.
Finally, it coordinates all the players involved in the large water cycle and gives opinions on their projects.
In terms of flood prevention, the Oise Aisne Agreement has equipped itself, from 2006 to 2011, with a measurement network consisting of 15 PARATRONIC PLC and PLC+ stations, and a Sigma supervisor.
Over time, with the aim of acquiring more information and better informing the population, 9 additional measuring points have been added to this network, and the supervisor has evolved for the Sigma II version.
At the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019, 6 LNS stations were installed in this framework, taking advantage of the latest communication technologies (ADSL, GPRS, 3G).
LNS acquisition stations have been specially developed to meet this type of problem: monitoring of sensitive natural environments by sensors, data banking and transmission, triggering of alerts, etc.
