A fire detection and monitoring system in the Landes de Gascogne inaugurated in Houeillès, Lot-et-Garonne

An article in Sud-Ouest mentions the installation of the ADELIE system in the Lot-et-Garonne:

The SDIS 47*, with funding from the European Union (40%), the State (26%) and the Aquitaine Regional Council (16%), has equipped itself with cutting-edge technology for detecting forest fires.

The ADELIE system cameras have been installed on the watchtowers located at a height of over 30 metres in Casteljaloux, Réaup and Houeillès.

The ADELIE system (Alert, Detection and Localisation of Fires) is a video surveillance system that automatically detects fire outbreaks in the natural environment and alerts the fire brigade instantly.
